We're Going for Silver!

We are very proud that Greenwich has held a Bronze Sustainable Food Places Award since 2016. But now is time to step up to the challenge of achieving Silver.

The Good Food in Greenwich partnership is all about bringing together individual residents, businesses and organisations to help make Greenwich a fairer, healthier and more sustainable borough.

The Sustainable Food Places Award gives us a valuable tool to make sure we address six key areas that are part of the food network.

  • Governance and Strategy – influencing and changing policy

  • Good Food Movement – networking and getting everyone involved

  • Healthy Food for All – putting an end to food poverty and inequality

  • Sustainable Food Economy – healthy and sustainable local food businesses

  • Catering and Procurement – improve food provision on a large scale

  • Food for the Planet – tackling food waste and the impact on the environment

All of this needs a strategy and an understanding of where we are and what is already happening.

We need your help…

As a partnership, Good Food in Greenwich relies on all of us getting together to make these changes so Greenwich can be known as a great place for great food for all. We are rewriting our Food Strategy Action Plan and putting together our bid for Silver Sustainable Food Place and we need your knowledge and ideas.

What do you see as a priority for a food strategy for Greenwich?

Lots of you know about small businesses, projects and individuals already tackling these areas. What’s already happening?

What else can we do? How could you help?
