Free Cookery Clubs in greenwich

New year, new you! The start of a new year is always a great time to get energised and learn a new skill, and maybe even get healthier.  The Taste of Health Cookery Clubs will be back in January for more fantastic, FREE fun with food. The five-week ‘Taste of Health Cookery Clubs’ are open to everyone and are a great way to learn how to cook meals that are healthy, delicious and economical. Our qualified tutors offer great advice on eating a healthy, balanced diet by making small changes that make a big difference to your health – all while keeping within your budget. The course includes a week dedicated to food growing, where you can learn about herbs used in cooking and for health, and how to grow your own herbs and salads in the smallest of spaces in and around your home!

You don’t have to be a three-star Michelin chef to join our clubs as the courses are open to everyone, from complete beginners to those who are a dab hand in the kitchen. All ingredients, equipment and aprons are provided and all participants will get a free recipe book on completion of the course, featuring recipes prepared during the five weeks.

We’ve had some fantastic feedback from some of the 400 people in Greenwich borough who have already taken part since last October with people making amazing changes to improve their lifestyles. The cookery clubs are a great way of meeting new people and exchanging hints and tips so why not have a look for a free Taste of Health Cookery club near you? Give us a call on 0800 470 4831 and get involved!

If you are a community group we’d be more than happy to come and talk to you in more detail about the clubs and how we can work together.  Just give Fay a call on 0208 2694880 option 1 or email fay@gcda.org.uk
